St. Patrick’s Day Chocolate Shamrock Cookies

St. Patrick’s Day Chocolate Shamrock Cookies

Hello! St. Patrick’s day is next week! Today I’m sharing a fun cookie decorating idea for shamrock cookies.

I started by making my chocolate-sugar-cookies (click link for recipe), but you can do this with your favorite sugar cookie recipe.

Here’s what you’ll need:

1 container vanilla frosting

Green gel food coloring

Clear Karo syrup

Sprinkles

Ok. Let’s do this!

Place 1/2 container of vanilla frosting in a microwaveable bowl. Microwave on high for 10 seconds, stir and microwave for another 10 seconds.

Add green gel food coloring to frosting and stir to combine. Add food coloring until desired color is achieved.

Dip cookie halfway into colored frosting. Allow extra frosting to drip off the edge of cookie.

Place on parchment paper and allow frosting to set.

When frosting is completely set and dry, brush a line along edge of frosting with clear Karo syrup.

Immediately apply sprinkles to line of syrup. Allow to dry.

That’s it! Super simple! Everyone will think you worked really hard on your cookies, and that’s ok. It’s our secret.
