Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 TBSP toasted sesame oil
  • 1 TBSP cornstarch
  • 3 cups cooked rice
  • 3 cups steamed broccoli
  • 1 medium onion diced
  • 2 green onions sliced for garnish
  • 1 TBSP sesame seeds for garnish
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  • In a large skillet over medium high heat, brown ground beef and break into small pieces. Salt to taste.
  • When beef is nearly browned, add onion and continue to cook until onion is soft.
  • In a medium sized bowl, combine soy sauce, orange juice, garlic, brown sugar, sesame oil and cornstarch.
  • Pour sauce over ground beef. Stir to combine.
  • Add in broccoli.
  • Lower heat to simmer and cook for 5 minutes.
  • Top with green onions and sesame seeds. Serve with rice.

Notes

I increase the sauce by half when I make this because we like more sauce.
