Red Velvet Chocolate Indulgence Brownies

Ingredients

  • 1 box red velvet cake mix
  • 1 cup butter melted
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 package Oreos crushed
  • 1 bag milk chocolate chips
  • 1 bag mini chocolate chips
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°
  • Line a 9×13 inch baking dish with aluminum foil. Spray with nonstick cooking spray.
  • In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to beat together cake mix, eggs and 1/2 cup melted butter. Mix until smooth.
  • Press red velvet mixture evenly into baking dish. Bake for 15-18 minutes. You want the brownies to be just set. You don’t want to overcook these brownies!
  • Crush Oreos in a food processor, or by placing them in a zip top bag and crushing with a rolling pin. You want them to be fine crumbs.
  • Combine crushed Oreos and 1/2 cup melted butter and mix well.
  • Pour Oreo mixture over brownies and press gently in an even layer.
  • Place milk chocolate chips in a medium sized bowl.
  • Bring heavy whipping cream to a low boil, then pour over chocolate chips.
  • Let chips and whipping cream sit for 5 minutes, then whisk to combine until smooth and thick.
  • Pour ganache over the Oreo layer.
  • Finally, top with mini chocolate chips.
  • Place in refrigerator for 45 minutes – 1 hour to allow ganache to set up.
