Happy New Year!

Hello friends! Happy new year!

Just a recap of what’s happened with This Country Girl’s Life this past year…

The blog was a success and I’ve had many requests to write a cookbook. I’m planning on starting that project in this new year. It will be a big undertaking, and I am going to take my time with it. I want it to be what I have envisioned in my mind before I ever even consider trying to publish it.

This Country Girl’s Life as a brand has expanded and it took off at a pace I couldn’t believe. I now have an Etsy Shop which opened officially at the end of July 2020. We sell waterslide decals for tumblers, custom tumblers, tee shirts, kitchen decor, keychains and more. To expand even further in 2021 we are adding car freshies, bath bombs, glitter pens, and games to our product line.

The middle child got to come visit in October. It was wonderful! He’s been stationed in Japan for 3 years and the only time he was home was when my mama passed away in 2018. While he was here we did an early Thanksgiving because he hadn’t had one at home in 3 years. We were blessed to have his girlfriend join us for that. She is a great girl who is also stationed in Japan and was home visiting her family. She flew in to meet us and join our early Thanksgiving. Then the middle child finally got his orders to come back to the states. He got to come home again in December before reporting to his school in Texas on Christmas day. After his school he will be stationed in Mississippi, which makes this mama very happy.

The misplaced redneck got married to his girl from Massachusetts. I didn’t get to go to the wedding (thanks COVID), but I got to watch it online. It was beautiful. I’m so happy these 2 found each other and I know they are going to have an amazing life together. My goal is to see them in person as soon as possible. He and I have never gone this long without seeing each other and it’s time for that to change.

I was so busy with my Etsy Shop that the blog really didn’t get much attention. That is going to change. I’ve made so many amazing recipes and can’t wait to share them. I’ll also be blogging about all of the items we are making and selling.

This Country Girl’s Life got an official home here on the property. It’s not ready to move in yet, but we are getting there. It will be nice to have a separate work building. It’s really taken over the house and it drives me crazy sometimes.

The chickens are producing at least a dozen eggs a day now, which means we’ve given away a lot! It’s amazing how much they’ve grown.

I’m already planning the 2021 garden. I was really thrilled with what we got last year, but I think this year’s garden will be even better.

I’ve got so much I want to accomplish in 2021. I’m hitting the ground running by starting back with this blog right now on January 1st. I’m excited to see what this year brings and can’t wait to share it all with you!

Thanks for stopping by!
