Puppermint Treats
Hello! The 6 pack are always close by me. Usually really close. I love my babies, but sometimes their breath is, well, not so great. I usually make them treats with parsley in them to freshen their breath, but after making sure mint was safe for them, I decided to up my dog breath freshening game.
I made a very simple treat which includes parsley and mint. (My house smells very fresh as they are baking!) The dogs love them, and their breath definitely improved.
Here’s what you’ll need:
2 1/2 cups flour
1 cup water
1 TBSP vegetable oil
1/2 cup oats
2 tsp mint extract
1/3 cup parsley
Ok. Let’s do this!
Preheat oven to 350°
In a medium sized bowl, combine the flour, oats, oil, water, mint extract and parsley. Mix well.
Knead into a dough with the consistency of Play Doh.
Roll out the dough to about 1/4 to 1/2 inch thickness.
Use a cookie cutter to cut out shapes.
Place on lined baking sheet and bake for 35 minutes.
Let treats cool before serving.
Treats may be stored in an air tight container for 2 weeks, or in the freezer for up to 3 months.
